From Coach Work, Jr. High and Sr. High Track Coach -

What a season!

We are so proud of our Junior High Track team for an incredible year full of hard work, growth, and determination. From practices to long meet days, these athletes showed what it means to compete with heart and represent our school the right way.

This season wasn’t just about times and medals—it was about building confidence, pushing limits, and becoming better teammates and individuals. We saw personal records fall, new leaders emerge, and a whole lot of grit on display every single meet.

A huge thank you to our Administration, parents, and supporters who made this season possible. Your dedication and encouragement never go unnoticed.

To our athletes: keep working, stay hungry, and remember—this is just the beginning. The future is bright!

At the request of Mountainburg Police, MMS and MHS students were held inside the buildings for around 45 minutes while Mountainburg Police looked for someone. Students were not in danger at any time. Business was normal inside the building.

Mountainburg Middle School Families! As we approach our upcoming Summative State Assessments, we want to take a moment to share important information and encourage your support during this time.
We understand that testing can sometimes feel stressful for students. Please know that these assessments are just one measure of your child’s learning. At our school, we use a combination of summative and interim data to develop individualized academic plans that help every student grow. My goal is to ensure that each student reaches grade level and continues progressing beyond.
Over the past several weeks, I have met one-on-one with students to set personal goals for the upcoming assessments. We are working hard to build both confidence and motivation. To celebrate their efforts, students who meet established criteria will have the opportunity to attend a reward trip. In addition, we will hold daily prize drawings to keep students excited and encouraged throughout the testing window.
Testing Dates:
April 22 – Writing
May 5 – Reading
May 7 – Math
May 12 – Science
How You Can Help at Home:
Encourage your child and remind them that these tests are important and do matter
Ensure your child gets a good night’s sleep before each testing day
Help create a calm, positive start to the morning on test days
We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the generous businesses and community members who have donated prizes for our students, including AirPods, Beats headphones, Parrot Island day passes, electric scooters, gift cards, bikes, and more. We truly appreciate the support from Olive Coffee, Tropical Whip, Twisted Stem, Bs in The Burg, Parrot Island, Urrutia Family Dental, ArcBest, Ashley O’dell, Citizens Bank, Morrell Target, Blue Rose, Michelle Daniels & Family, Arkansas Valley Electric, and Neon Moon
