One School One Book Update: Our classroom showcase winners for Monday are Mrs. Price's Classroom and Mrs. Yingling's Classroom. They each had 8 students who read the assigned chapters over the weekend and six students a piece who answered the daily trivia correctly! Great job!

Welcome Mrs. Angie Dennis, incoming Special Education Supervisor and Little League Football & Basketball Director beginning Fall, 2022!
I am a graduate of Van Buren High School. I graduated from Westark College (Associate of Arts and Associate of General Studies), Arkansas Tech University (Bachelors in Elementary Education), University of Arkansas (Special Education), and Harding University (Masters in Educational Leadership/Curriculum and Administration/Educational Specialist).
Previously, I taught Special Education at Altus, Prairie Grove and Alma. I have taught in all areas of special education (Resource/Co-Teach/Inclusion/Self-Contain). I have been the Special Education Director for the last 10 years at Gentry and Decatur School Districts. For the last 5 years, I have been Adjunct Faculty for John Brown University and have taught Special Education. I was also Athletic Director at Gentry School District for 2 and a half years.
My husband Mitch and I have 8 children and 13 grandchildren. We are very much involved in sports. We both officiate and he is an assignor for various leagues and sports. I have been a basketball observer for the Arkansas Officials Association/Arkansas Activities Association for the last 12 years.

Welcome Ms. Carsyn Jones to MHS! She joins us as English teacher and cheer and dance coach for ‘22-‘23!
Hi! I just wanted to take a quick minute to introduce myself. My name is Carsyn Jones and I am a senior this year at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith. I have been incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to complete my internship at Mountainburg, and I have really enjoyed getting to know the students, staff, and community!
In terms of education, I graduated from Alma High School in 2018, before continuing my education at UAFS. I love reading and writing and I can’t wait to share my passion with my students! I also love dance and I have taught at M Collective in Alma for the past three years. I am super excited to begin my teaching career in the school district!
Our 4th grade girls win the championship with an 18-15 win over IC!

Our Showcase Reader Classroom today was Mrs. Watkins' Third Grade Class! They had 17 students read the assigned chapter of How to Eat Fried Worms and 9 students answered the daily trivia question correctly!
