BOOT CAMPS DAY 5| That's a wrap on the STEM and E-Sports Boot Camps at MHS. Thank you Mr. Manus for taking the time to get these organized for our students. Last day, students testing their balsa wood bridges, getting their crystal Ornaments, making butter slime and items chosen to make on the 3D printer.

We are excited to share our latest great news - The District was awarded a grant to provide an additional SRO! Mountainburg Public Schools seeks qualified applicants for the position of School Resource Officer. Join the Dragon Team to work in a collaborative role in our professional learning community as we ensure high levels of learning for all students. Qualifications: Must be CLEST certified with 15 years of experience in patrol and investigations or 10 years of experience in a campus environment. A fully retired State or Federal office will qualify in lieu of the conditions above. Start Date: 23-24 school year. The position is a 181-day 8-hour contract with a starting salary of $27,129 paid in 12 installments. Benefits include eligibility to purchase teacher health insurance with a $234.50 monthly district match, a 15% teacher retirement contribution, and 9 days of sick leave and 2 days of personal leave annually. Please note: This is a grant-funded position through the Stronger Connections Grant through the Arkansas Department of Education for three (3) years. Responsibilities include clerical support in the transportation department and transportation by school vehicle to and from neighboring district for WATC classes. Start Date: 23-24 school year. The position is a 180-day 8-hour contract with a starting salary of $18,878 paid in 12 installments. Mountainburg Public Schools seeks qualified applicants for the following position: RN Nurse Supervisor - Qualified applicants shall hold a valid Arkansas RN license. The RN Nursing Supervisor supports two LPN school nurses monthly to review and approve student health care plans, attend and provide training, support, and assistance on-site or by phone as needed. Service is for up to 20 days to be scheduled and provided through the 23-24 school year. Start/service period: August 2023 through May 2024. Agreement is based on an MOU for 20 days of service at the daily rate of pay for school RN salary schedule which is currently $148.95 per day. Days are to be scheduled based on need for training, health screenings and activities, and monthly contact. RN Nursing Supervisor must be available to consult LPNs by phone if needed. BOOT CAMPS DAYS 3 AND 4| Two great days at the STEM and E-Sports Boot Camps. Check out the images below. Students engaging in "Penny Water Lab", "Crystal Ornaments", "Homemade Lava Lamp", "Wooden Bridge" and "Solar Oven" activities. Students will compete for the strongest bridges and cook hotdogs in their solar ovens.
