February is National Children's Dental Health Month. Boys & Girls Club would like to thank Amie Brewer and Dr. Urritia for coming and speaking about good oral hygiene practices with our members!

MES is sending out a big THANK YOU to our supportive parents and anonymous donors who made it possible for every student at the elementary school to receive a special delivery on Tuesday! Each student was able to take home Valentine's Day treats because our community is the best!

The MES Book Fair is in full swing and the kids are loving it! "Thank you !" to everyone who has attended so far, and "Thank you!" to everyone still planning to attend! Tomorrow (Thursday) closing time will be at 4:30 PM instead of 6 PM. The Fair will not be open Friday, but WILL be OPEN all day on Monday throughout Parent/Teacher Conferences. It will remain open through Wednesday, Feb. 22nd. Thank you for your support!!!

Today is School Resource Officer Appreciation Day and we sure do appreciate Chief Peppas! Thank you for your service and dedication to our staff, students, and to the district.

Nearly half of adults in the United States have high blood pressure. (Blood pressure greater than 130/80 or are taking medication for hypertension.) Of that, only about 1 in 4 adults (24%) with hypertension have their condition under control. The best place to start when working on lowering your blood pressure is to eat right, exercise, stop smoking, limit alcohol consumption, and minimize stress. Some of those may seem easier said than done, but even baby steps can start you in the right direction.
