Attention Elementary Parents: The text for our next One School, One Book project will be coming home with students on Tuesday, November 7th. The scheduled reading will begin on Wednesday, November 8th. Be watching for the book and planning how your family is going to read together!
What is Chronic Absenteeism?
A student who misses 10% or more of their school days, which averages to just two days a month, for any reason, is considered chronically absent. Every absence, excused or unexcused, (including suspensions), is a learning opportunity lost. Chronically absent students are more likely to fall behind academically and less likely to graduate from high school. Addressing chronic absenteeism and developing good attendance habits is a solvable problem for which we all share responsibility.

The November tradition has arrived - Who will be the Biggest Turkey at MES?
Mountainburg Schools will be closed the week of November 20 - 24 for the Thanksgiving Break.
All but three blue seats are reserved. There is still bench seating between the rows of the blue seats on the home side.

THREE-POINT CHAMPION - This may be the 2nd or 3rd year in a row that John Shepherd has won the 3-Point Contest. Congratulations John! He was awarded a gift certificate from Neon Moon.
Thank you Alumni Dragons for returning to Carl D. Rogers Gymnasium today for Slam Dunk to Dragon Basketball. You always manage to make it exciting and fun. The Alumni men played a Blue/White game and then faced off against the 23-24 Dragons Basketball Team.
The Blue Team won in the Blue/White Game, and the game between the 23-24 Dragons went into overtime with the Alumni Dragons winning by 4 points.

23-24 Dragon Basketball is HERE!!
Thank you to these Alumni Lady Dragons for returning to Carl D Rogers Gymnasium to play in the Slam Dunk to Dragon Basketball. The 23-24 Lady Dragons came out on top, but the Alumni gave them a great game!

SLAM DUNK TO DRAGON BASKETBALL was a success!! Close to $1400 was raised for the Sr High Dragons Basketball Team. Thank you to these donors for supporting our school and our athletes.
SOCCER CHAMPIONS! The 3rd /4th Grade team of the Mountainburg Soccer Club are the 2023 Fall Recreational Champs!!
The PreK/Kindergarten team came in third.
