It is always awesome to hear about the accomplishments of MHS graduates. Below is a release from the University of Arkansas - Fayetteville about Sydney Taylor, MHS Class of 2021. Along with this achievement, Sydney has chosen to pursue her Master's degree.
Congratulations Sydney! We are blessed to have wonderful role models for our students to look up to and see that hard work pays off.

MES STEM CAMP RECAP from Coach Hoelscher: During the STEM Camp, we used 2-liter bottles to build water rockets. Each group was given multiple days to construct their rocket using cardboard, plastic, tape, and other materials. Teams attempted to build cones and fins for their bottles to cut through the air (for less resistance) in an effort to go higher than other groups! Each team was granted a practice run before the official rocket launch!
During the official rocket launches, teams were given liberties on how much water/air would be filled/placed within their bottle rockets. At the end of the launch day, K-2 were able to achieve an altitude of 62 feet, while grades 3-5 hit the 100 foot mark!
Overall, each student had a blast learning about Issac Newton and his laws of motion; they enjoyed learning about gravity and its effects on objects; and they lastly learned about aerodynamics, specifically when applied to rockets!
Adi Gould, MHS Senior, is representing MHS Cheer as a member of the Arkansas West All Star Cheer team at the games at UCA today! Great job, Adi!

My friend McKenzie brought me a box of photos her sweet sister Brittney Skinner-Hampton took when she was my yearbook photographer. I've had fun looking through them a few at a time. No time stamp on these, but I bet some of you beautiful ladies will recall the date. This looks like the line up of contestants for a Miss Mountainburg pageant. Help me tag these beautiful ladies! - Doc
